How are design partners different from founding customers?
Design partners get BentoCS free for 6 months in exchange for being hands-on with the roadmap. Founding customers pay half the sticker price and get the same founder Slack access but zero time commitment beyond a testimonial and a reference call or two per quarter.
What happens when my founding-customer discount ends?
At month 13 you transition to standard pricing (Starter $249, Growth $499, Business $999). We tell you the exact date in the contract. No bait-and-switch, no silent re-pricing.
Can I switch between tiers later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade tier at any point during the discount period. The 50%-off rate applies to whatever tier you are on.
Is there an equity component?
No. We are bootstrapped and founder-owned. These deals are pricing discounts and access perks, not equity grants.
Why only 5 + 25?
Past 30 customers the feedback loop fragments and support costs outgrow the discount revenue. 5 design partners keeps roadmap input focused; 25 founding customers is enough for public social proof without drowning the founder.
What if I am not the ideal profile?
